A BHSII SC qualified coach, he has recently moved to the area after spending the last eight years as a Senior Coach at Wellington Riding, a BHS approved training centre and competition venue. Roland has also spent time teaching abroad in Dubai and Tenerife.
He is passionate about teaching and aims to give his clients fun and constructive lessons. He loves helping horse and rider partnership improve, from the child and pony starting out, to the competitive rider. Roland describes himself as an enthusiastic, approachable, encouraging instructor who wants to make lessons fun for the novice and challenging for the competitive rider to help you reach your potential.
As a BHSII SC he can give lessons for those training up to, and competing at, BD Advanced Medium, BE Intermediate Horse Trials and BS Foxhunter
SARAH PERRY – BHSAI REG INSTRUCTOR
Sarah has grown up with horses and joined the Pony Club at a young age. She competed in all the open teams for Poole PC, including Prince Phillip Cup. After School, Sarah went to Kingston Maurward College to complete her ND in Equine Studies and a Foundation Degree in Equine Science as well as her BHS AI.Sarah has competed up to Advanced Medium level dressage and Foxhunter SJ.As well as producing young horses, Eventing has always been her main passion where she has competed at Advanced level and is competing in BE and BD events regularly. Sarah works as freelance instructor and trains/competes horses and ponies of all levels for clients, she also works with students with learning difficulties and regularly teaches for Poole Pony Club and Riding Clubs and camps.
CLAIRE SPEER – BHSII / BD LIST 3 JUDGE
Claire show jumped JA ponies as a Junior and then evented up to Intermediate Level. She currently is a Pony Club A test Holder, BHSII Registered instructor. Her judging talents reach to British Dressage List 3 Judge and British Dressage National Para Judge. Her passion as you can tell is for Dressage and she is currently competing at Prix St Georges and Intermediate 1. Claire teaches adults and children and has a knack of instilling confidence and self belief.
STEPHANIE ZEBEDEE BHSAI
Stephanie has been riding from the age of 10. Training started at The Catherston Stud with Jennie Loriston-Clarke and then went onto the Wellington Riding Centre with Robert Pickles and gained her BHSAI qualification. Stephanie has tasted all disciplines from Show jumping BSJA and Discovery to Endurance – Silver Horse Shoe, but her passion lies with her stunning Arabians which she now breeds and shows to the absolute top level very successfully. Having ridden, won & Judged at all the major county shows not to mention HOYS, RIHS & PUK, Steph now resides on the panels for the following organisations PUK, BSPA, AHS, and VHS.
DONNA SKINSLEY BA (Hons), Dip (AS) CABC.
Donna is an animal behaviourist and training consultant specialising in equine, canine and feline cases. She has operated as Pet Connection for over 17 years and offers a professional and comprehensive, reward-based, behavioural referral and training service across the south of England based now from Three-Legged Cross in Dorset. Her time is spent doing behavioural consultations, pet behavioural assessments for adoption and fostering placements, rescue staff training/CPD and 1-2-1 training and classes with clients. Being a full member of the APBC (Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors) and APDT ( Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and a registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist and Animal Training Instructor with the ABTC (Animal Behaviour Training Council) Also the ABTC Equine Representative on the Equine Sector Council gives clients confidence in her level of ability to resolve and prevent training and behavioural Problems. SALLY ANNE PIERSON
I started riding at 3 and joined the west Hants pony club from a very early age, representing them at dressage ,SJ, XC, ODE and tetrathlon successfully as well as competing on the show circuit in plaited WHP classes gaining results at all the major shows . I have competed up to medium dressage and BSJA for clients and their horses as well as setting up my own yard of backing and schooling horses/ ponies I did this for 14 years . More recently I have gone into producing for the show ring flat ridden and WHP where I have taken the ponies through the ranks gaining tickets to royal international, Olympia and HOYS , when I’m not on the road competing I am busy teaching at home and breeding new forest ponies
